Is virginia woolf talking about the professor X in comic books (A Room of Ones Own)?
In chapter 5 " Looking through the branches of other trees at other skies, nothing would be of greater service to humanity and we should have the immense pleasure into the bargain of watching Professor X rush for his measuring rods to prove himself " superior." I don't get what she's getting at. I understand the gender roles she wants us to see, but can someone just explain what she's talking about here? And oh yea, the part with the old woman and the younger girl walking along the street, if you know what she's talking about there too that would immensely help me. I don't see how that part is important for her book and what she's trying to find. this is also in chapter 5 and only maybe a page after the Professor X
